The Learjet 60XR: speed and climb, with a long runway in mind
The Learjet 60XR was built from 2007 until Bombardier paused production at the end of 2012. Around 409 Learjet 60s and 60XRs had been delivered by then. Many still fly in charter fleets.

The cabin is 5.39 m long and 1.74 m high, with a maximum width of 1.81 m. The floor is narrower, at 1.19 m, so the cabin feels snug at foot level. Up to eight passengers can be seated.
60XR: speed and range
Bombardier quoted a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.81, about 464 kt, and a ceiling of 51,000 ft. At maximum weight it climbs to 41,000 ft in about eighteen minutes, above most weather and traffic. Range is 2,451 nm with four passengers under IFR reserves.
The runway caveat
Balanced field length at maximum weight is 1,661 m, and landing needs about 1,042 m. That is longer than the other midsize jets on this site. We check runway length and the day's temperature before offering it for smaller airports.

London to Mykonos and London to Ibiza suit it, where its speed shortens a two- or three-hour leg. Paris to Nice is a quick hop.
The 60XR against its class siblings
The Citation XLS+ is slower but uses much shorter runways. The Hawker 900XP is slower but roomier, with more range. The 60XR is the choice when time in the air matters most.
