Le Bourget to Nice: a domestic hop with its own rhythm
This is a domestic French flight, so there is no passport control at either end. The practical questions are timing at Le Bourget and space on the ground at Nice.
Le Bourget
Le Bourget is around twenty minutes by car from central Paris in clear traffic. It closed to airlines in 1977. In 2023 it handled about 55,750 movements, 96 per cent of them business flights. Three runways of 3,000 m, 2,665 m and 1,845 m mean aircraft size is never the limit.
Seven handling agents operate there, including Signature, Jetex, ExecuJet, Universal and Dassault Falcon Service. Which terminal you use depends on the operator, and we confirm it with the car booking. Night noise rules apply between 22:15 and 06:00, so a late departure after dinner in Paris is worth checking before it is promised.
Nice on arrival
Nice’s Business Aviation Terminal sits next to Terminal 2. From there the car reaches the Promenade des Anglais in minutes, and Monaco is seven minutes by helicopter. A light jet covers the leg in under ninety minutes, so a morning in Paris and lunch on the coast is a realistic plan.
When it matters most
The leg is busiest in May and early June. In 2027 the Festival de Cannes runs 11 to 22 May. The Monaco Grand Prix follows on 3 to 6 June, with a Sprint for the first time.
