Mykonos takes private jets directly. From London it is roughly three hours forty on a midsize aircraft; a light jet will do it light-loaded in favourable winds but not with a full cabin and luggage, which is the most common misquote we see corrected.
The airport is small and August is extreme. Slot availability tightens sharply from mid-July, ground handling queues lengthen, and departure timings slip. None of that is a reason to avoid it — it is a reason to plan the departure window with room in it.
Everything on the island is close. Psarou, Paraga and Panormos are all inside twenty-five minutes, and most villas are nearer than that.
Aircraft class matters here
London–Mykonos is at the edge of light-jet range with a full cabin. Midsize is the honest recommendation for four or more passengers with luggage; we will say so rather than quote a cheaper aircraft that needs a fuel stop.
August slots and departures
Mid-July to end of August is peak. Departure slots are the pressure point rather than arrivals. Build an hour of margin into any onward connection.
Beach clubs book first
Front-row daybeds at Nammos and Scorpios go four to six weeks ahead in August. June and September are half the price and the same sea.
