Geneva is the single most important private-aviation field in the Alps. In January it handles more private movements than almost anywhere on the continent, because every ski destination in the western Alps connects through it.
The private terminal is efficient and the onward network is the point: helicopter to Courchevel, Gstaad, Verbier, Megève and Val d’Isère, or road transfers where the weather closes the rotors. Winter Saturdays are the constraint — helicopter slots on a peak-season Saturday need weeks, not days.
Geneva itself is a business city with a serious hotel and restaurant scene. Most of our Geneva bookings are the connection rather than the destination, but the city rewards a night if the schedule allows.
Geneva private terminal
A dedicated general-aviation terminal handles private arrivals separately from the main hall. Swiss customs are straightforward; the French sector is a separate consideration we handle when the destination is Megève or Chamonix.
Onward to the Alps
Helicopter is fifteen to thirty minutes to most resorts against ninety minutes to three hours by road in winter traffic. Peak-Saturday rotor slots are the scarcest item in the Alps and should be booked with the aircraft.
Winter Saturday pressure
The changeover day is Saturday and everything compresses into it. Flying Friday or Sunday is materially cheaper and easier, and we will suggest it where your dates allow.
