Flying private to Bodrum

Bodrum is one of the easier Aegean arrivals. Unlike Mykonos, where summer slots are the constraint, or Monaco, which has no runway at all, Bodrum-Milas takes private traffic directly onto a full-length runway with a general-aviation terminal alongside. From London that is about four and a quarter hours nonstop on a midsize aircraft; from Geneva or Zurich closer to three.

Airport & private terminal

Bodrum-Milas (BJV) sits north of the peninsula. Arrival is through the general-aviation facility rather than the main terminal, so the walk from aircraft to car is short and the formalities are quick. Türkiye requires standard passport control on arrival; we brief you on documentation before departure so nothing is a surprise at the desk.

Onward to the peninsula

Milas to Türkbükü or Yalıkavak is 35 to 50 minutes by road in normal traffic. Through August that road is not normal — the coast route backs up badly on weekends, and a transfer that takes 40 minutes in June can take 90. Helicopter shortens it to under ten minutes and is the option most of our August guests take.

When to go

July and August are peak, and everything prices accordingly — aircraft, handling, villas and the beach clubs all at once. June and September are materially better value with the sea still warm, and slot pressure at Milas eases noticeably outside the two peak months.

What we arrange around the flight

Cars on both ends as standard, helicopter where the timing needs it, and the staffed villa and beach-club tables held before you land. Bodrum books early: tables at Maçakızı and Billionaire go weeks ahead in season, so the sequence matters — flight, house, then tables, not the other way round.

Good to know

How long is a private jet from London to Bodrum?
Around 4 hours 15 minutes nonstop on a midsize jet. From Geneva or Zurich it is closer to 3 hours, and from Dubai roughly 4 hours 30. Bodrum-Milas takes private traffic directly, so there is no repositioning leg at the end.
What does a private jet to Bodrum cost?
As a market guide, London–Bodrum starts around £22,000 one-way on a midsize aircraft and rises with cabin size and date. August weekends price at a premium because the whole coast moves at once. We confirm a fixed all-in quote for your dates before you commit.
Which airport do private jets use for Bodrum?
Bodrum-Milas (BJV), 35–50 minutes from the peninsula by road. It has a general-aviation terminal and handles private arrivals routinely. Dalaman (DLM) is the alternative if you are heading further east along the coast.
Can you arrange the transfer from the airport?
Yes — chauffeured cars as standard, and helicopter transfers to Yalıkavak or Türkbükü when the coast road is slow, which in August it reliably is. Boats can meet you at the marina if you are going straight onto a charter.
Is Bodrum busy in peak season?
Extremely, from mid-July to the end of August. Slot availability at Milas tightens, handling queues lengthen and the road times roughly double. Booking three to four weeks out is the difference between a smooth arrival and a long one.
