Getting there and moving around

Zurich's general-aviation terminal is efficient and fast, and the city is 20 minutes away. We arrange the private jet, the helicopter transfer where the road is the bottleneck, and chauffeured cars on both ends. For anything requiring close protection or NDA-grade discretion, that is planned before you land rather than on the day.

How it works and what it costs

Tables and restaurant bookings in Zurich are arranged for members, or as a one-off through Single Access at £350 per request — credited in full toward membership if you join within 14 days. The venue’s minimum spend is settled at the venue, not with us.

Everything else is free to enquire and free to quote. Jets, helicopters, yachts, villas, security and event access are quoted as a single fixed all-in price with our fee already inside it — no gate, no membership required, and nothing added after you commit. For most clients that makes charter and villa enquiries the simplest place to start.

How a booking runs

Send the dates, the party size and anything that matters — a table by the water, a chef who can cook for a coeliac, a car that fits five with ski bags. We come back with what is genuinely available and what it costs, usually the same day. Nothing is committed until you approve it in writing.

If something cannot be delivered to the standard you asked for, we tell you that instead of substituting quietly. That applies to a fully-booked restaurant, an aircraft that cannot make the leg nonstop, and a villa whose photographs flatter it.

How Zurich works for a visiting principal

Zurich is a short-stay city. Most visits are two or three nights built around meetings, a dinner and a drive or flight onwards to the mountains. The logistics are simple, and the details are where time is saved.

Landing at Zurich airport

The airport lies about nine kilometres north of the centre, at Kloten. Private flights handle through the General Aviation Centre, where Jet Aviation runs an FBO from 6am to 10pm daily. Immigration and customs are cleared on site, with a lounge and conference rooms for a meeting before the drive in. Jet Aviation puts the city centre at about fifteen minutes. Night rules are strict, so a late arrival needs planning around the 10pm limits.

Where to base yourself

  • Bahnhofstrasse and Paradeplatz: the banking and shopping spine running from the main station to the lake.
  • Altstadt: the old town on both banks of the Limmat, with Lindenhof, the Grossmünster and the Niederdorf lanes.
  • Seefeld: the quieter residential lakeside of District 8, close to Bellevue and the Opera.
  • Enge: District 2 on the west shore, with the Rieterpark and Museum Rietberg.
  • Zürichberg: the wooded residential hill above the city, home to the Dolder Grand.

The calendar

Late January is the hardest week. The World Economic Forum meets in Davos, and much of its traffic arrives through Zurich; the 2026 meeting ran 19 to 23 January. Aircraft parking, cars and hotel rooms tighten across the region that week. Sechseläuten closes winter in April, and the Street Parade takes over the lakefront in August. The Zurich Film Festival runs in early autumn around Sechseläutenplatz; the 2026 edition is 1 to 6 October.

Onward to the mountains

Davos is reached by road or Rhaetian Railway via Landquart. St. Moritz is about 220 km by road; jets and helicopters use Samedan, 5 km away at 1,707 m. Samedan has no instrument landing system, so weather can close it. Gstaad is about three hours from Zurich by car; Bern and Geneva are closer starting points.
