Amazónico brought its Madrid format to DIFC: a Latin American restaurant with a rainforest of a room, a lounge, a cocktail bar and a rooftop terrace, stacked over three floors and open daily from noon until 3am. The kitchen runs South American grills and sushi from the Amazon's Japanese-Peruvian side; the rooms run from dinner into a late lounge without anyone needing to move.
The dress code is smart casual: no sportswear, beachwear or caps, and no shorts or open-toed shoes for men. Minimums on the lounge and rooftop tables are not published and depend on the night.

Amazónico's floors, the rooftop and how the evening is paced
The kitchen takes its cue from the countries of the Amazon basin, and from the Asian and Mediterranean communities who settled there. That is why a sushi counter sits beside the grill on one menu without seeming odd.
Music is part of the service rather than an extra. Resident DJs and percussionists play every night, and the rooftop, called Paraíso, has DJs of its own. A party that wants conversation should ask for a restaurant table away from the music. A party that wants the energy should book Paraíso.
Lunch, brunch and the late seatings
Amazónico is not only a night venue. It runs a weekday business lunch, a Saturday brunch and a Sunday lunch. Those suit a client meeting or a family gathering better than a late dinner. The last reservations are taken at 11:30pm from Sunday to Wednesday and at 12:15am from Thursday to Saturday.

- Tables can be reserved up to 90 days ahead, which matters for a December birthday or a large group.
