Gaia opened in DIFC's Gate Village in October 2018, founded by Evgeny Kuzin in partnership with chef Izu Ani, and has been the financial district's dining room since — Greek-Mediterranean cooking built on fish sold by weight from the counter, whole roast lamb, and a room that manages to be both a serious kitchen and a scene. It spawned Sirene by Gaia on J1 Beach and a family of sister restaurants, but the Gate Village original is still the booking.
It serves lunch and dinner daily — lunch until 4:30pm, dinner from 6:30pm, and the bar open to 12:45am — with a smart elegant dress code that admits tailored shorts and turns away sportswear and beachwear.

Lunch runs later than many expect, until 4:30pm every day. At weekends it begins at 12:30pm rather than noon. That makes Gaia a sensible choice for a long business lunch that cannot be rushed. The bar stays open after the kitchen closes, until 12:45am, so a dinner can end with a drink in the same building.
The Chef's Table and private events
