East along the coast the view explains the prices: the Golden Mile’s villas and palms from a deck chair, a swim stop off Cabopino, and lunch at Nikki Beach or Trocadero with the tender holding position.
The port itself is the address — berths in high summer are as contested as any table we book. Day boats work around it; for the week, the marina berth is part of the brief and we say early what is realistic.

Puerto José Banús is both a working marina and one of the busiest leisure addresses in southern Europe. Knowing its limits makes the charter easier to plan.
The port has 915 berths spread over about 15 hectares of sheltered water. It takes yachts up to 50 metres, with draughts of 2.5 to 4 metres.
Larger yachts can anchor off and use the tender. The marina has fuel, a travel hoist, workshops and 24-hour security, and its control tower works on VHF channel 9.
More than five million people visit the port each year. Over 250 shops, restaurants and other businesses line the quays behind the boats.
A stern-to berth here is very public. Guests step ashore straight into the evening crowd, which suits some groups and not others.
For a principal who values privacy, it can make sense to keep the yacht at anchor off the Golden Mile. The tender comes in only for dinner.
Most day boats and flybridges fit easily. A superyacht over 50 metres cannot take a berth in Banús at all, so it lies off the port.
For a week, the question is less about size than timing. Summer berths for yachts in the 30 to 50 metre range are the scarce ones, which is why we raise the berth early.
