Cipriani Yas Island is easy for most of the year and impossible for four days in December: on Grand Prix weekend the terrace over Yas Marina looks straight at the circuit and the yachts, and every table is placed months ahead. Outside the race, a few days of notice is enough.

Getting there & timing
Zayed International takes private jets with a dedicated terminal, and Al Bateen Executive Airport in the city is business aviation only. Dubai is about seventy-five minutes by road, so an Abu Dhabi table is a realistic evening from a Dubai base. Chauffeured cars and, for the Grand Prix weekend, helicopter transfers are arranged around the booking.
