Geneva is the gateway to Courchevel for almost everyone flying in, and the transfer is the part people get wrong. Two and a half hours of Saturday traffic, or fifteen minutes over the top — the decision is usually about weather and party size, not money.
By road: the honest version
Geneva to Courchevel 1850 is about 2h30 in clear conditions and considerably more on a Saturday in January, when every transfer in the Alps runs on the same changeover day. A private car is the sensible default for a family with ski bags. Book it as a fixed quote, not a meter.
By helicopter
The flight is roughly fifteen minutes and lands at the Courchevel altiport, which sits above 2,000m directly beside the resort — one of the few Alpine arrivals where the aircraft puts you at the door rather than an hour below it. See the route in detail for aircraft and indicative pricing.
When the weather decides
The altiport is visual-approach only. In low cloud the helicopter does not fly, and any operator promising otherwise in January is selling something they cannot deliver. We hold a road transfer as the fallback on every helicopter booking in winter, at no extra cost if it is not used — the trip has to work either way.
Arriving by jet instead
