Finding La Folie Douce at the Saulire mid-station
Despite its name, La Folie Douce Méribel-Courchevel is on the Méribel side of the ridge. It sits at 2,100 metres at the intermediate station of the Saulire Express gondola, above Méribel Centre. From Méribel, ride Saulire Express 1. From Courchevel, ski over the Saulire into the Méribel valley, which needs a Three Valleys pass rather than a Courchevel-only pass. Pedestrians can reach it by gondola, so non-skiers can join the party.
The 2026-27 season is listed from 12 December 2026 to 3 April 2027, about two weeks shorter than Courchevel's own listings. It opens at 9am daily. It closes at 4.45pm from Monday to Wednesday and at 5pm from Thursday to Sunday.
The show and the restaurants
The current show, Rock the Top, revisits cabaret in a baroque style with a contemporary edge. It runs in two sittings, at 12.30pm and 2.30pm, and the afternoon then turns to clubbing until close. La Fruitière is the seated restaurant, serving local produce with the show in view. A self-service counter and a children's restaurant cover quicker meals, and there is a bar, a barber and a shop on site.
Who it suits
Families can come for a morning stop or the first sitting, and baby chairs and a games room are provided. Adults who want the full afternoon should book La Fruitière for the 12.30pm show and stay on. Anyone skiing back to Courchevel should leave time to cross the ridge before the Saulire lifts close.
