Reaching Bagatelle at the top of the Chenus gondola
Bagatelle Courchevel stands at the Sommet de la Loze, at the top station of the Chenus gondola above Courchevel 1850. At 2,250 metres it sits well above the village. Skiers arrive on the piste. Non-skiers ride the Chenus gondola up, with parking at La Croisette, so lunch here does not depend on everyone in the party skiing.

The kitchen works Alpine produce into the group's southern repertoire. Truffle pasta, tuna tartare and roast meats are among the regular dishes, and halal and vegetarian options are offered.
The music is lively, and the resort classes it as a dancing restaurant as well as an on-piste one. It is a place to settle in for the afternoon rather than for a quick lunch between runs.
Who it suits
It suits a group of friends, or a family with older children, who want a long and sociable lunch. Baby chairs and an accessible reception are available. It is less suited to a confidential conversation once the music rises. On a clear day in peak weeks the terrace fills first, so outdoor positions are worth requesting early.
