Le 1947 at Cheval Blanc is Courchevel's summit table — Yannick Alléno's three-Michelin-star room, seating barely two dozen a night inside the maison's ski-in cocoon. The Alps' most rarefied reservation; winter-season only and booked with the stay.
Booking, the OF.luxury way
One message covers it: date, party size and any preferences. We confirm availability and the night's terms directly with the venue, hold the table in your name, and stay reachable until you are seated. Every booking is subject to the venue's availability and confirmed case by case.
Planning dinner at Le 1947 at Cheval Blanc
Le 1947 sits inside Cheval Blanc Courchevel in Le Jardin Alpin, the wooded, ski-in quarter of Courchevel 1850. The resort lists it open from 4 December 2026 to 18 April 2027. It serves dinner six nights a week through those four winter months and closes when the hotel shuts for spring.
The restaurant takes a maximum of 22 guests each evening. That ceiling is the main planning fact: on a full hotel night, few tables remain for outside diners. Christmas, New Year and the February holidays are best requested as soon as travel dates are fixed.
The room and the kitchen
Sybille de Margerie designed the interior. Guests enter through a dark corridor intended as a pause before the room opens up. The kitchen is open to the dining room, so the cooking is part of the evening rather than hidden behind a pass. Ceramic domes above the tables give each party its own sense of enclosure.
Yannick Alléno's cooking is modern French, built on his Extractions, sauces designed to concentrate flavour while staying light. The order of the meal is unusual. Guests choose the main course first, and the starters are then chosen to lead into it. Dessert is a shared spread of a dozen small plates laid along a tablecloth. The restaurant holds three Michelin stars and five Gault&Millau toques.
Who it suits
The room works best for a couple or a small party marking an occasion. It is a long, attentive dinner, so it suits a quiet business evening better than a large group. The kitchen can prepare halal, gluten-free, lactose-free and vegetarian dishes, and these should be sent with the request.
Guests flying in can land at the altiport, a 537-metre sloping runway at 2,008 metres used by turboprops and helicopters in daylight only. Our Geneva to Courchevel helicopter page covers that transfer, and the Courchevel restaurant guide sets Le 1947 against the resort's other tables. For the rest of the stay, see our Courchevel concierge.
