Verbier sits about two hours from Geneva, and almost all of the difficulty is in the last thirty minutes — the climb from the valley floor up to the resort.
The road
Geneva to Verbier is roughly two hours in clear conditions along the lake and up the Rhône valley, then a switchback climb to the resort. In snow that final climb is the part that slows everything down, and on a Saturday changeover it can add an hour on its own.
The helicopter
The flight is short and lands close to the resort — see the route for aircraft and indicative pricing. It earns its money on a late arrival or a short stay, when the road would eat an evening.
Weather, honestly
Alpine helicopter legs are weather-dependent and January can close them. We hold a road transfer against every winter flight so the arrival works either way, and we say so before you book rather than after.
Arriving privately
For a group flying private, Geneva takes the widest range of aircraft and has the best weather window in the region — see private jets to Geneva. The Verbier guide covers the rest of the week.
