The Epsom Derby, Royal Ascot, Henley Royal Regatta, Wimbledon and the Goodwood Festival of Speed are not one event but the English summer season: a run of fixtures, from the first Friday of June to the middle of September, that has settled into an order over a century or more: the Derby at Epsom, Royal Ascot, Henley, Wimbledon and then Goodwood. Each is run by a different organiser, each has its own rules about who can sit where, and they overlap just enough to make planning matter. This guide sets out the 2027 dates as the organisers publish them, how each event works, and how to put a summer together without spending it on trains.
We do not run any of these events. Hospitality is booked through official channels, and we arrange it on request, along with the cars, rooms and tables around them.

All of these are on our June events calendar and the months that follow.
Epsom Derby: the Oaks and the Derby
The Derby Festival opens the season. The Jockey Club lists the Betfred Derby Festival for Friday 4 and Saturday 5 June 2027 at Epsom Downs, Surrey. The Oaks, a Group 1 race for three-year-old fillies, is run on the Friday, and the Derby on the Saturday, both provisionally at 4pm. Epsom hospitality is the option if you want a view of the finish and a seated lunch. The Jockey Club publishes a raceday style guide for the festival; we do not restate a dress code we have not read, so check it for your enclosure.
Royal Ascot: five days in June
Royal Ascot runs from 15 to 19 June 2027. It is the fixture with the most rules, and the rules differ by enclosure. Ascot describes the Royal Enclosure as open exclusively to Members and their guests, the Queen Anne Enclosure as its premier public enclosure, and the Windsor Enclosure as having no formal dress code, with room to bring a picnic under the picnic policy. Each enclosure has its own dress guidance, which Ascot publishes on its website, so read the one for the ticket you hold. Hospitality at Ascot is a separate route, with its own dining and viewing. Our Royal Ascot page and the dress code guide set out how we arrange it.
Henley Royal Regatta and Wimbledon: the same week
These two overlap, and many guests want both. The Championships run from 28 June to 11 July 2027, which Wimbledon notes is the 150th anniversary of the event. The public ballot for 2027 closed on 14 September 2026, and the general ticket routes that remain, such as the daily queue, are Wimbledon's own; what we arrange there is hospitality and debentures through its programme. The club’s all-white clothing rule applies to players. Our Wimbledon page explains the routes we arrange.
Henley Royal Regatta runs from Tuesday 29 June to Sunday 4 July 2027. The regatta says tickets go on sale in spring 2027. Members and their guests can use both the Stewards’ Enclosure and the Regatta Enclosure, and the Regatta Enclosure is open to the public. For the Stewards’ Enclosure, the regatta states that ladies wear dresses or skirts with a hemline below the knee, or jackets or blazers with trousers, or trouser suits, and that hats are optional but customary. Gentlemen wear lounge suits, or jackets or blazers with trousers, with a tie or, if preferred, a cravat. It adds: no shorts, leggings, tracksuits or jeans. Henley has its own official hospitality programme, booked through the regatta.
The practical point: Wimbledon starts on a Monday and Henley on the Tuesday after, so a guest who wants the middle weekend has to choose. Decide which matters more before you book rooms.
Goodwood Festival of Speed, Qatar Goodwood and the Revival
People say Goodwood as though it were one fixture, and it is three. The Festival of Speed, on 15 to 18 July 2027, is a motoring event held in the parkland around Goodwood House. Qatar Goodwood Festival, on 27 to 31 July 2027, is five days of racing at Goodwood Racecourse. The Revival, on 17 to 19 September 2027, is held at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, and period dress is optional. We compare the three in more detail in our Goodwood 2027 guide, but the point for planning is that they are in different parts of the estate, run by different teams, and booked separately.
Putting a summer together
Most guests do not attend all of it. A common pattern is a week, such as Ascot, with a long weekend either side, and one of the later events if the diary allows. Three things make the biggest difference.
- Decide the anchor first. Pick the one fixture you would not miss, then fit the others around it.
- Book rooms early. Ascot, Henley and Goodwood all pull from the same small set of country hotels and houses.
- Plan the road. These events are out of London, and car parks and local roads fill. A chauffeur booked for the day, with a collection point agreed, makes the day easier.
For some of the longer journeys, helicopter transfers are one option; arrangements and landing permissions are confirmed case by case.
How we help
VIP and hospitality only. Across the season we arrange hospitality: private dining, boxes, terraces and enclosure tables, booked through official channels. We do not sell general admission or standard tickets; those are sold by each organiser directly.
We arrange hospitality where an organiser offers it, along with chauffeurs, rooms and tables. We do not publish prices, because they depend on the day and enclosure, and they are confirmed in writing before anything is committed. If you tell us which events you want and who is coming, we can say what is possible. Message our WhatsApp concierge with your dates and the events you have in mind.
