Booking Plage du Festival — what to know

Plage du Festival runs on the table: front-row daybeds and dinner tables go to those who reserve first, especially through Cannes Film Festival, the Lions and the summer weekends. Open MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT, SUN. Dress is beach chic, and minimums are confirmed on request.

How we book it

Send your date, party size and an indicative budget on WhatsApp and we confirm directly with the venue — usually within the hour in season. Nothing is committed until you approve; if your first choice is full we come back with the closest genuine alternative in Cannes, never a downgrade dressed up.

Getting there & timing

Nice Côte d'Azur and Cannes-Mandelieu handle private arrivals, with the Croisette 20–30 minutes away; helicopters land closer still. Festival fortnight and July–August are the periods to plan around. VIP transport can be arranged around the booking.

About Plage du Festival

Plage du Festival sits at the centre of the Croisette action, at the foot of the Carlton (52 La Croisette) — a beach club built for the season, with lunch on the sand and a front-row view of the Cannes parade.

Booking, the OF.luxury way

One message covers it: date, party size and any preferences. We confirm availability and the day's terms directly with the venue, hold the table in your name, and stay reachable until you are seated. Every booking is subject to the venue's availability and confirmed case by case.

Plage du Festival: the beach in front of the Carlton

Despite the name, this beach is not beside the Palais. It is at 52 Boulevard de la Croisette, at the foot of the Carlton, in the middle of the seafront. Guests staying at the Carlton can be on the sand in a couple of minutes.

History

The beach was created by Jean Mineur, the advertising designer. It has kept its blue and white identity on the Croisette ever since.

The beach

It is a sandy beach under blue and white parasols, with showers, Wi-Fi and loungers to rent. Next to it is a Sothys spa of about 250 square metres, so a treatment can fit between swims. Dogs are not allowed.

The kitchen

Chef Dominique Galla runs the restaurant with a refined Mediterranean menu. The evening service is built around the sunset over the bay, and the beach also hosts family receptions and drinks.

Hours and season

The tourist office lists it open all year, every day, from 10am to midnight. That makes it one of the Croisette beaches that works for a winter lunch as well as a July afternoon.

Who it suits

Carlton guests and families who want a central beach with a spa next door. Also anyone after a classic Croisette lunch rather than a party. In Festival fortnight it is in the thick of the boulevard; our Cannes Film Festival page covers that period. For a beach closer to the Palais, see La Môme Plage. Families taking a house can start with our Cannes villas.
