Booking Midô — what to know

Midô runs on the table: front-row daybeds and dinner tables go to those who reserve first, especially through Cannes Film Festival, the Lions and the summer weekends. Open MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT, SUN. Dress is smart elegant, and minimums are confirmed on request.

How we book it

Send your date, party size and an indicative budget on WhatsApp and we confirm directly with the venue — usually within the hour in season. Nothing is committed until you approve; if your first choice is full we come back with the closest genuine alternative in Cannes, never a downgrade dressed up.

Getting there & timing

Nice Côte d'Azur and Cannes-Mandelieu handle private arrivals, with the Croisette 20–30 minutes away; helicopters land closer still. Festival fortnight and July–August are the periods to plan around. VIP transport can be arranged around the booking.

About Midô

Midô is Cannes' Nikkei address — the La Môme group's Japanese-Peruvian room at 5 rue Florian, lively and design-led, drawing a stylish evening crowd. Peak-week tables need real lead time.

Booking, the OF.luxury way

One message covers it: date, party size and any preferences. We confirm availability and the day's terms directly with the venue, hold the table in your name, and stay reachable until you are seated. Every booking is subject to the venue's availability and confirmed case by case.

Midô on rue Florian: Nikkei cooking at the end of a passageway

The restaurant spells its name Midô. It sits at 5 rue Florian, at the end of a small passageway off the street, across from its sister La Môme. The name comes from midori, the Japanese word for green.

The kitchen

Midô cooks Nikkei, the meeting of Japanese technique and South American boldness. The menu runs through starters, tempura, sushi, crudo and dishes from the robata grill. Plates are designed to share, so a table of four orders widely and passes dishes round.

The room

Walnut and Ming green marble set the tone, the green a nod to the name. Because it is set back from the street, it feels more hidden than the restaurants that face rue Florian directly.

Hours and booking

Midô serves dinner every night from 7.30pm. Valet parking is available, and reservations are taken online through Zenchef or by telephone.

The house

Midô is one of the restaurants of the brothers Antoine and Ugo Lecorché, who started with La Môme. The group also runs a Midô in Paris.

Who it suits

Guests who want raw fish and the grill rather than pasta. A date or a small group that prefers a discreet entrance. And a natural second choice when La Môme is full on the same night. For contemporary Japanese in a larger room by the sea, Zuma at Palm Beach is the comparison.
