La Guérite sits on Île Sainte-Marguerite, the larger of the Lérins islands, about fifteen minutes off Cannes by boat. You cannot drive, and that single fact catches most first-timers out.
There are three ways across. The public ferry from the Quai Laubeuf runs regularly through the day and is the cheapest. The restaurant’s own tender collects guests from Cannes on request when you book. Or you arrive by your own boat and drop anchor in the bay, which is what most of the tables in August do.
Plan the return before you go out. The last public ferry is earlier than people expect, and a long lunch that turns into the late afternoon is exactly how guests end up stranded. If you are on a yacht for the day we can hold the tender and the table together so the timings actually line up.
