“Airport VIP service” covers three quite different things, and booking the wrong one is the usual mistake. We arrange airport VIP service and meet-and-assist at Heathrow, Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Zurich, and we start by working out which of the three you actually need.
Fast track, meet-and-assist and private terminal
- Fast track is a queue shortcut at security or passport control. It is quick and relatively simple, but you are still in the main terminal.
- Meet-and-assist (airport meet and greet) adds a person: someone meets you at an agreed point, handles bags, escorts you through the process and walks you to your car or gate. It is the usual choice for families, first-time visitors and tight connections.
- Private terminal or suite service takes you out of the main terminal altogether. You are received in a separate building or suite, processed privately, and driven to the aircraft or from it.
What each airport offers publicly
Heathrow
Heathrow’s private terminal is The Windsor, at Terminal 5, relaunched in 2025 after a refurbishment. Trade press reports it is open to first and business class passengers of any airline and covers departures, arrivals and connections, with a car between the suite and the aircraft. Eligibility, inclusions and prices are set by Heathrow, so we confirm the current terms before quoting. For a lighter option, we can combine meet-and-assist with a chauffeur; see our chauffeur service page.
Zurich
Zurich Airport runs its own VIP Service. Its website describes departure, arrival, transit and door-to-door packages, and says it is open to all passengers whatever the airline or booking class. Components include a personal assistant, priority security and passport control where needed, the VIP lounge, and a car transfer to or from the aircraft. Valet parking and limousine transfers can be added to a departure or arrival.
Paris-Charles de Gaulle
Groupe ADP opened a private terminal at CDG in June 2024, described in the trade press as the Salons de Réception. It offers private suites, personal service and processing from check-in to the aircraft door, aimed at travellers who want privacy. Air France also markets private La Première suite arrangements to its own first-class passengers. We check which applies to your ticket and flight.
Choosing between them
If you are travelling alone with hand luggage and the queues are short, fast track alone may be enough. If you have children, a connection under ninety minutes or you are unfamiliar with the airport, meet-and-assist is worth having. If privacy is the point, because of who you are or who you are travelling with, a private terminal or suite is the only option that removes you from the main concourse. We will say honestly when the lighter service will do.
How we arrange it
We book through the airport’s own channels or the service provider, confirm the meeting point in writing, and brief the chauffeur and any private jet or helicopter leg so the handover is clean. The airport services themselves are run by the airports and their providers; we arrange and coordinate them.
What we need from you
- Airport, terminal if known, flight number and date
- Arrival, departure or connection, and the time you want to be met
- Passenger names exactly as they appear on the booking, and no other passport detail until a provider requires it
- Number of guests, bags and any mobility needs
- Lead time: private terminals and suites generally need advance booking, so ask as early as you can, and at least several days ahead for peak travel
Every airport service is subject to the provider’s own conditions, and we confirm them before you commit.
