Saint-Tropez by road in summer is two to three hours; by helicopter it is twenty minutes over the bay, landing at Grimaud or La Môle with the villa car waiting. In July and August this is not a luxury — it is the only sane way in.

Into the Gulf of Saint-Tropez: La Môle, Grimaud and the summer rules
The flight runs west along the coast from Nice, past Cannes and the red rock of the Esterel. It then crosses to the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Two landing sites serve the gulf, and in summer the choice is made for you as much as by you.
La Môle
The Aéroport du Golfe de Saint-Tropez lies between Cogolin and La Môle, about 15 km from the town. It is open daily, from 08:00 to 19:00 in summer and 09:00 to 17:00 in winter, with extensions to sunset. Helicopters fly their own arrival and departure paths, kept apart from aeroplanes and away from homes.
La Môle lost its customs post in 2016 and no longer accepts flights from outside the Schengen area. A jet from London therefore clears into France at Nice, and this helicopter does the last leg. Our London to Nice page covers that first flight.
Grimaud
The Hélistation de Grimaud sits on the gulf itself and is open all year. Flights there operate in daylight only.
The May to October limits
From May to October, landings in the gulf are subject to quotas and set time windows, from 10:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 20:00. A late-evening arrival may not be possible even on a clear day. We fix the slot with the operator before confirming the flight, and plan dinner reservations around it.

How long does the Nice to Saint-Tropez helicopter take?
Around 20 min in the air. Add a few minutes for boarding — luggage is handled through, and ground cars on both ends are arranged with the flight.
Can it connect with my flight or jet?

What about luggage and children?
Standard luggage travels with you (weight limits apply on smaller aircraft — tell us if you're heavy on bags). Children are welcome; infants fly on laps with operator approval.
