GreenGo is Gstaad's after-dinner institution — the Palace hotel's seventies-pedigree club, pop-art interior intact, where the promenade crowd reconvenes at midnight through the winter season, and again in summer. Intimate, open to the public (17 and over, with ID) and exactly as it has always been.

A night at GreenGo in the Gstaad Palace cellar
GreenGo opened in the early 1970s in the cellar of the Gstaad Palace, a space used as a vault during the Second World War. The Palace sits on the hill above the village at Palacestrasse 28. It has been owned by the Scherz family since 1947 and has about 90 rooms and suites.
Who gets in
The club is open to the public, not only to hotel guests. The minimum age is 17. A physical ID is required at the door; photos or PDF copies are refused. The house dress code is elegant, and themed nights set their own, from all white to formal.
Nights and seasons
From 2 January to 7 March 2026 the club opened Thursday to Saturday from 11.30pm. It also ran nightly from 24 to 30 December 2025. The Palace's next winter season runs from 15 December 2026 to 7 March 2027. GreenGo also works in summer: in 2026 it opened Friday and Saturday from midnight between mid-July and late August. Weekend afternoon sets moved outdoors to the Palace pool.
The room and the music
The interior is 1970s in style, with resident DJ Jim Leblanc and visiting acts. The house describes the music as mixed, adapted to whoever is in the room. A digital membership card has replaced the old printed one, and some headline nights carry special entry terms. The whole club can be hired for a private party.
Practical points
The Palace offers valet parking and a large outdoor car park, so a driver can wait on site. Most guests dine first in the village or at The Alpina and arrive after midnight.
