Luigi at the foot of the Martinez: the room, the music and the hours
Luigi is at 24 rue Latour-Maubourg, the side street at the foot of the Hôtel Martinez. Regulars may know the address by its old name. The company behind it traded as La Chunga until 2022, and the house dates its story to 1956.
The room
The Paris architect Fabrizio Casiraghi redesigned it completely in 2021. The bar is in Lalique glass under an illuminated ceiling, and the mood is Italian with a touch of decadence. About 70 sit inside and 30 on the terrace.
How the evening runs
The night starts with an aperitivo: spritz, a homemade Bellini or a Negroni. Jazz musicians and the piano play through dinner. Later a DJ takes over and the room turns to dancing. On Thursdays, L'Aperitivo da Luigi brings live music from the start of the evening.
The kitchen
Chef Géraldine Rapp cooks Italian classics: antipasti, pasta and veal Milanese, finished with a chocolate praline dessert.
Days and season
Doors open at 8pm from Wednesday to Sunday. Luigi closes on Mondays and Tuesdays, except when a congress is in town. Its 2026 season runs from early March to the end of December.
Who it suits
A dinner that becomes a late evening without moving on, or a party staying at the Martinez next door. It also takes private and partial hire for dinners, launches and receptions.
