Beach chic. On a bed during the day, swimwear with a cover-up is exactly right. At the dinner table it is resort dressing: linen, a good shirt, a dress, espadrilles or clean loafers.
The Croisette is a dressed strip and Copal sits on it, so the room lifts in the evening more than a beach setting might suggest. There is no jacket rule and there is a clear expectation.
What does not work: sportswear at dinner, and swim shorts at the table once the beach has turned. During the Festival the standard rises across the whole Croisette.
