Jimmy'z enforces a smart elegant dress code and it is one of the few doors on the Riviera that genuinely turns people away for dress. It sits inside the Sporting Monte Carlo, the crowd is older and wealthier than a typical club, and the room dresses like it.

For men: a jacket. Not required in writing, but the room is full of them and arriving without one marks you out. Shirt, tailored trousers, leather shoes. No trainers of any kind, no denim on a Saturday in season, no shorts, ever. For women, evening dress is the norm rather than the exception.

This is the strictest code of any venue we book in Monaco. If you are coming from dinner at a beach club, change first — the walk from Larvotto is short but the standard between the two is not comparable.

Dressing for a Jimmy'z night, from dinner to 5am

The doors open at 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays and the night runs until 5am. Almost everyone arrives straight from dinner. Choose an outfit that is right for a good restaurant and still comfortable five hours later.

Inside and out

Since the 2017 rebuild, the club runs from the indoor dance floor out to a garden. In summer there is a bar floating on the lagoon. Much of the night is spent outdoors by the water. In March, April and September that is cooler than people expect after midnight. A tailored jacket or a light wrap is practical as well as correct.

The building's other evenings

Jimmy'z shares the Monte-Carlo Sporting with the Salle des Étoiles. That hall hosts the Red Cross Ball and the Rose Ball. On gala nights the guests on the avenue are in evening dress, and dressing up rather than down is the safer judgement.

Themed and headline nights

The 2026 programme included Disco Club nights and big-name DJ and rap dates. We advise the same standard on those nights as on any other. A theme is not a reason to arrive in sportswear or trainers.

Shoes matter twice: for the door, and for a long night on your feet.
