If you have been quoted £18,000 for a Saturday at Tape London by a "promoter" on Instagram, this guide is for you. Here is how it actually works — and how to get through the door without paying tourist prices.
What Tape London actually is
Tape sits on Hanover Square in Mayfair. It is the highest-occupancy mainstream club in London for the international set: footballers, music artists, celebrities passing through, and the Mayfair locals who live within walking distance. The music is hip-hop and R&B forward with house running underneath.
It is not a hidden room. It is a high-volume Mayfair club with a strict door and a real spending crowd. The door team has seen every excuse, every fake influencer, and every promoter inflation in the book.
When to go
- Wednesdays — lighter crowd, easier door, lower minimums. A good first night for visitors.
- Thursdays — picks up, music industry crowd, the night to be seen.
- Fridays & Saturdays — peak. Tables fully booked from 4pm Friday. International crowd, longer lines.
- Sundays — closed.
If you are landing on Wednesday and want to test the room, ask us to put you on guest list. By Friday you should be on a table or not in the building.
Table minimums (2026)
- Booth on the floor: from £2,500 typical Friday / Saturday minimum
- VIP booth near DJ: £4,000 — £8,000 depending on date
- Reserved standing area: £1,500 (rare; only off-peak)
- Grand Prix / Wimbledon final / fashion weeks: minimums uplift 30 — 60%
Minimums are spend, not a cover charge. You order champagne, vodka, mixers — when the bill hits the minimum, you keep ordering or you stop. There is no refund of unspent minimum, but there is also no extra fee.
Door & dress
- Dress: no sportswear, no streetwear branded heavily, no hats indoors, no flip-flops. The cleanest read is dark tailoring with sneakers acceptable if the rest of the outfit pulls the dress code up.
- Ratio: more women than men preferred on the table. Pure groups of men either need a verified host or a confirmed reservation through the venue directly.
- ID: passport or full UK driving licence. Photos of ID will not be accepted at peak.
How OF.luxury books Tape London
We hold a direct line to Tape's reservations team, not a promoter. That means:
- No promoter mark-up. You pay the venue's minimum. We are paid by the venue, not by you.
- Faster confirms. Most Tape London bookings confirm within 30 minutes if you ask before 5pm on the day-of.
- Real-time table assignment. We can ask for booths near the DJ, or away from it if you want to talk. The host honours those requests when we book directly.
- Guest-list adds, dietary notes, birthday champagne and cake — all coordinated end-to-end.

Quick FAQ
Can I just walk up? Yes, with the right look, the right group ratio and patience. On Friday/Saturday after 11.30pm the line is real. A reserved table walks you straight in.
Is there a guest list? Yes, but it is genuinely curated. We submit the names and your profile; the door confirms. It is not a guarantee. Tables guarantee.
Do you take a fee? No. OF.luxury is commission-paid by the venue. Your minimum at the door is what you would have paid going direct — without the wait, without the promoter games.
