The standard
Smart casual across most Twickenham hospitality facilities: collared shirt and tailored trousers or smart chinos for men, smart daywear for women. Some premium suites ask for a jacket; if yours does, you will be told at booking.
What is not acceptable
Replica shirts in most facilities. Sportswear, shorts, flip-flops. Fancy dress, which at an international is a genuine risk. Trainers are tolerated in some facilities and not others — smart shoes remove the question.
February at Twickenham
The Six Nations is played in an open bowl in the coldest month of the English year. The facility is warm; your seat is not. A proper coat that works over a jacket, and something for your hands, are the difference between watching the second half and enduring it.
The autumn internationals
Same dress code, marginally kinder weather. November afternoons at Twickenham still turn cold by the final quarter.

The 2027 Six Nations at Twickenham: dates, kick-offs and what they mean for dress
England play three home matches in the 2027 championship. Two of them kick off late in the afternoon, so most of the match is played after dark in a February bowl.
The home fixtures
- England v France: Sunday 14 February 2027, 15:10.
- England v Italy: Saturday 20 February 2027, 16:40.
- England v Scotland: Saturday 13 March 2027, 16:40.
The championship opens on Friday 5 February with Ireland against England in Dublin. The schedule is compressed, with only one rest week, after the third round.

The ground
Since September 2024 the stadium has been called Allianz Stadium Twickenham. It holds 82,000 for rugby and has around 150 executive suites.
The East Stand was rebuilt in 2018 with six floors of hospitality. The stadium's own Marriott hotel has 156 rooms and six VIP suites overlooking the pitch.
Dressing for a late kick-off
A 16:40 start means the second half is played in full darkness, as the evening temperature falls. A suite or box keeps you warm between halves, but the seats outside do not.
Wear the jacket or smart layer the facility expects. Bring a proper overcoat that fits over it, and gloves.
Getting there
Twickenham is the nearest railway station, with Richmond and St Margarets as alternatives. Each involves a walk through crowds, so comfortable smart shoes matter as much as the coat.
Road traffic is heavy around kick-off. Staying at the stadium hotel avoids the journey altogether.
