Booking Le Petit Cabanon — what to know

Le Petit Cabanon is a mountain restaurant rather than a village one, and that is the whole point — you arrive on skis or by snowcat, the room seats very few, and lunch runs long. It is the most sought-after table in Gstaad precisely because it cannot scale.

Booking is essential and the window is narrow: the season is short, the covers are limited, and Christmas and New Year are effectively closed to new requests by autumn. We hold relationships here rather than availability, and we are honest when a date has gone.

Le Petit Cabanon is one of those rooms where the reservation book matters more than the menu — prime-time tables are allocated, not simply booked. Service runs MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT, SUN. Dress is smart casual. Expect a spend in the region of CHF 400 for a proper table.

How we book it

Send your date, party size and an indicative budget on WhatsApp and we confirm directly with the venue — typically within the hour during the season. Nothing is committed until you approve; if your first choice is full we come back with the closest genuine alternative in Gstaad, never a downgrade dressed up.

Getting there & timing

Gstaad is about 90 minutes from Geneva by road or a short helicopter hop. The winter season — December to March — is when tables here matter most. VIP transport — jets, helicopters and chauffeured cars — can be arranged around the booking for guests arriving from overseas.
